Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing care for yourself or a loved one comes with plenty of questions — and that's exactly how it should be. Below are answers to the ones we hear most often. If you can't find what you're looking for, we're always happy to talk.

About St Anastasia's Care

  • Who is St Anastasia's Care?

We're a registered NDIS and aged care provider based in the Sutherland Shire, delivering warm, personal support across the Shire, St George, and Greater Sydney. We were founded in honour of our founder's grandmother, Anastasia, and that family spirit shapes everything we do — care that genuinely feels like family.

  • What areas do you service?

We proudly support people across the Sutherland Shire, St George, and Greater Sydney. Not sure if you're in our area? Just ask — we're happy to check.

  • Are you a registered provider?

Yes. We're a registered NDIS provider (Registration ID 4-KR1F6IK), independently audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. You can view our full registration details on our Quality & Safeguards page.

  • Do you offer care in languages other than English?

Yes — we have Greek-speaking carers, so members of our Greek community can receive support in a language that feels like home. Let us know your needs and we'll do our best to match you with the right carer.

Our services

  • What kinds of support do you provide?

We offer personal care, community access, domestic assistance, transport, respite, overnight support, and high intensity supports — across both NDIS and aged care. You can explore each in detail on our Services pages.

  • Do you provide both NDIS and aged care support?

Yes. We support NDIS participants of all ages as well as older people through aged care and home care. If you're not sure which applies to you, we can help point you in the right direction.

  • Can I choose which support worker I have?

We do our best to match you with a worker who suits your needs, preferences, and personality — because the right relationship makes all the difference. We'll always take the time to get this right.

  • What if my needs change over time?

Yes — we have Greek-speaking carers, so members of our Greek community can receive support in a language that feels like home. Let us know your needs and we'll do our best to match you with the right carer.

NDIS questions

  • I'm new to the NDIS — can you help?

Absolutely. Whether you're checking your eligibility, waiting on your first plan, or unsure how your funding works, we're happy to help point you in the right direction. Our Getting Started With the NDIS guide is a good place to begin.

  • Do I need to be with a registered provider?

It depends on how your plan is managed. NDIA-managed participants need to use registered providers like us, while plan-managed and self-managed participants can choose registered or non-registered providers. As a registered provider, we can support participants across all three management types.

  • How do I use my NDIS funding with you?

Once your plan is in place, you can choose St Anastasia's Care to deliver your supports. We'll set up a service agreement that reflects your goals, and work with your plan manager or support coordinator if you have one. Our How NDIS Funding Works page explains this in more detail.

  • Are you a support coordinator or plan manager?

No — we deliver supports, rather than coordinate or manage plans. But we work closely and communicate promptly with support coordinators and plan managers to make things easy.

Getting started

  • How do I arrange support?

Simply get in touch through our Contact page, give us a call, or fill in our enquiry form. We'll have a friendly, no-pressure chat about your needs and, if it's a good fit, arrange a time to meet.

  • Is there any cost or obligation to enquire?

None at all. Reaching out is simply the first step. We're happy to answer your questions and talk through your options with no pressure and no obligation.

  • What happens after I make an enquiry?

We'll get in touch to understand your needs, answer any questions, and talk through how we can help. If it feels like a good fit, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet and put a plan in place together.

  • How quickly will you respond?

We aim to respond to all enquiries within one business day.

Trust & safety

  • Are your workers screened and qualified?

Yes. Our workers undergo thorough screening — including NDIS Worker Screening Checks and police checks — and we invest in ongoing training so the people who support you are safe, skilled, and genuinely caring.

  • How do you protect my privacy?

We handle all personal information confidentially and in line with the Privacy Act and our Privacy Policy. Your details are only ever used to provide and arrange your care.

  • How do I raise feedback or a concern?

Your voice matters to us. You can share feedback or raise a concern at any time by contacting us directly, and we'll listen and act on it. As a registered provider, we take feedback and complaints seriously.

Still have questions?

We'd love to help. Whether you're a participant, a family member, or a support coordinator, reach out anytime — there's no pressure, and no question is too small.
